Dr. Anton Theuma read a Ph.D in Knowledge Economy and Capacity Building Issues at the University of Reading. Dr. Theuma has been appointed advisor and speaker on S3 innovation and entrepreneurship and has experience as a lecturer on Entrepreneurship at the University of Malta, Institute for Sustainable Development. Dr. Theuma has been involved in R&I projects under CIP and FP7 programmes and has lead an FP7 project dealing with the facilitation of Venture capital for ICT-based companies. He is also a business consultant and in this capacity holds innovation and business process engineering consultancy with a number of Maltese public and private firms in more than 20 sectors, as well as NGOs and Local Communities on sustainable development projects. He has held consultancy roles with: the Malta Federation of Industries and the Malta Chamber of Commerce on knowledge economy strategies involving capacity and scenario-building methodologies; the Malta Enterprise, Innovation Desk on Innovation Seminars; the Euro-Med Unit for Research, Innovation, Development and Technology Strategies (EMU-RIDTS); and Co-ordinator at Foundation for International Studies.
