Renata Urbonė is a managing professional holding a BA, MBA degrees in business administration and PhD degree in social sciences, business administration and management area. In year 2004, the defended dissertation was defended „Intellectual capital management: strategic aspect“.
Renata Urbonė is a lecturer at Kaunas University of Technology, a member of strategic managemet department at KTU Economics and Management Faculty and is involved in technology entrepreneurship, modern management of organizations and intellectual capital management (i.e. human, systems, IPR, social, etc.) courses for undergraduates, graduate students and executives, and executes related scientific researches. In January 2014 she has completed LeanLaunchpad course in Silicon Valley for fostering and educating successfull innovations and entrepreneurship endeveors worldwide.
Renata Urbonė is a co-owner of Lithuanian based information technologies company Esperonus, taking a business development manager‘s role. The company develops lean web-based IT solutions for enterprises. Lean and ergonomic solutions focus to saving the energy of business enterprises – time and efforts, money and materials, utilities – and releasing it for more efficiency and innovations.
Renata Urbonė has an extensive experience in IT projects in the international environment. She started working in Norway Registers Development group since 1997 as a technical documentation writer, user trainer and quality assurance specialist, and in the following 13 years of professional career in NRD groups took positions of project coordinator, project manager, managing director, director of commerce, and international consultant in a number of projects. Renata Urbonė is well familiar with researches in innovations, semantic technologies area and is a practicing consultant for business analysis and solution building. She holds a PMP (Project management professional) certification since 2007.

Since March 5, 2014, Renata Urbone has taken a part-time role of Chief Executive Office at Norway Registers Development a/s and after transition period, starting September 2014 will be involved full time in the area of innovation opportunities recognition and development in the BAIP group.
